Review: Apricot Irene

Apricot Irene- 7 gm Sample / No Details
Pic of Apricot Irene from Barney's Farms
Batch reviewed displayed rounder structure

I was able to share in a sample of some gorgeous craft prototypes of a jar labeled apricot irene.
A jar with a hand stamped wax seal ( sexy af ) made my mustache curl it was so pungent, even with the lid closed.

The jar contained 5 large buds between .5 and 3 grams, clinging to needle thin stalk.  Round, broad sativa looking flowers look undisturbed from the time they were trimmed until we opened them up.
Blossom-like.

Appearance was vivid colors of lime green lightly fanning to a lighter almost neon. Trichome coverage was absolute, with massive heads on the tips that seemed iridescent under bright magnification.  Bracts on the insides were showing shades of pink and purple and made an almost velcro noise as you gently pulled a piece off.

There were two phenotypes of this on display, one which has a subtle sweet grape note, as opposed to a bit more spice.  This review is for the "grape" pheno of the two

Aroma- It was extremely inviting, like walking into an artisinal soap makers shop.  Incense spices with warm cardamom spice notes, apricot sheesha in a hookah lounge, notes of aged white wood.

Busting intensified the peach notes and was highly, highly sticky.  Like- stick to glass sticky.
Like, don't open it in a room with pet hair, because they will become inextricably linked.  Tweezers would be my preferred method to break this down, while wearing a pair of white gloves.

Smoke was heady- like Cavendish tobacco flavored with peach and a wonderful sandalwood flavor that was bordering on soapy, reminded me of every head shop I stepped foot in, in the 90's.   It had notes of afghan spice and a rich dessert exhale that lingereedddddddddddd on and on in the room and made everyone want to smoke more.

Experience was both gregarious at first, everyone was talking and relaxing and then slowly went to the body, but not the eyes.  Was excellent binge watching netflix weed, relaxed me exquisitely and the TASTE just left me flabbergasted, wanting more but also feeling satiated enough to save some for next week.  This is personal reserve stash if you ever see it, grab it.  -

I think I feel comfortable saying this was my favorite flower I have sampled in 2018 thus far.  10/10
Kudos to whomever grew this-  more please!
