The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) is looking for a new Weed Baron. Well... That might be a overly dramatic- It would probably be more like the police accountant that Will Ferrell played in "The Other Guys" But it sounds fun. And it pays well- 42-48,000$ to start
You will be working as an agent for the Cannabis Authority ensuring that all of the T's are crossed, and the lower case j's are appropriately dotted. As part of the almighty trio of Audit, Inspections and Investigations, you would be "The Mighty Pen" with powers to shut down entire operations.
Laser sharp data entry while receiving and cross-referencing applications and routine administrative paperwork will be your wheelhouse. Reporting directly to the Director of Compliance, you will provide the clerical muscle to their team- drafting meetings, taking minutes and bi-weekly attendance reports!~ (WEE!)
Its not a purely secretarial gig however, you will be the primary contact and responder for applications, complaints and irregularities all while balancing reports for the Audit Department. Speaking French is always a plus in Gov't jobs, and of course a clean criminal background.
The Successful Applicant will have a High School education, Accounting courses, several years experience working in a professional administrative setting and have a high proficiency with data management and office- making this a fairly accessible job- With a lot of competition I bet.
This position IS NOT A CIVIL CIRVICE position, but I think it still comes with a government pension and is protected by the Trade Union, so don't expect it to come up often. Seize the day- APPLY NOW.~
