LP Bonify shut down- Update

Salutations~

I've been keeping a close eye on the plight of Winnipeg based cannabis LP Bonify after having their productions license suspended in late 2018.  And although they've been proverbially spit-roasted by the MB government, federal inspectors and the RCMP- it looks like the worst has passed.

After firing some senior board directors (3) and appointing third party oversight to RavenQuest Technologies inc,  it seems like they may have made enough changes to be optimistic about their chances of appealing the suspension.

RavenQuest has extended their contract to run production and management from 3 months to 1 year after federal investigators have been very positive about changes made internally from a leadership perspective to ensure complete government compliance.

Initially slapped with a recall of all products, they were also hit with the suspension of sales while the investigation into the illegally procured cannabis wrapped up.  It was determined this week that 200kg cannabis was purchased by an "outside agent" and that investigation continues by the RCMP.

They have until Feb 15th to file a formal appeal and seem confident that it will be granted and are ready to begin sales ASAP.   The lights are still on and a new crop will be ready for sale in March, Bonify spokespeople are saying.

But this doesn't mean they're out of the woods yet, criminal investigations are ongoing as confirmed by previous employees who were being questioned by Manitoba police, supported by RCMP.

It doesn't seem like its going to be quite the black eye on the cannabis industry I was initially expecting, more like a quick shiner- something to talk about at the water cooler on Monday.

I hope that they right the ship and get some great genetics on our empty shelves soon- They're a home team I'm going to be rooting for.
