Its Game of Thrones season- So I had to grab some White Walker Kush from Broken Coast, to try and stay on theme. Prices locally have become a bit more competitive, so I decided to splurge on something I knew I would enjoy.

Keats was actually the Very first legal product I tried on Oct. 17th-  The birth date of Critical Bowl.
It was pretty outstanding then- and set the bar extremely high- Which many products I tried afterwards left metaphorically wishing they could have that level of quality and cult following.

Opening Inspection: 9/10

Tight little black jars, with a heavy foil lid that gives a little gasp when you open it, showing a very tight seal.  Freshly cured, heavy buds that carefully fill the appropriately sized jar without squishing anything.  I noticed that the THC listed seems lower than in Oct. but 19.3% is respectable still.

There were only 5 buds- huge- medium and popcorn I'll call them.  Irregular pine cone structure- medium high density with a decent bit of play for handling- nothing to break off, or really criticize at all. Very short orange pistils almost lost in the fine haze of milky white trichomes. Peeling buds open reveal tan caverns of resin, but no purple or pinks, like I have noticed in previous batches.

Very pleasing to break apart- fantastic humidity for any application of use.  Fluffs up big, burns well and vapes evenly. Note: Those calyx formations on the left bud had me thinking- seed? But no.

Opening Nose: 8/10

A pleasing sour-sweet earthen note with interesting fruit tones- green apple and frozen raspberry but not enough to qualify as "dessert".  After a few days of testing, it seems to have lost a lot of that jar nose.  It has been a couple of months since packaging- and the jar doesn't quite fit a boveda~ so it has probably just aged due to a bit of air exposure.

Busting reminds me of working at the french bistro- and the caramelized pear Tarte Tatin we would serve. Again- not too sweet- but enough to evoke some fun taste memories.

Flavor: 8/10
White Walker Kush- was not bred as a terpene temptress- but rather a potent and glittery garden gem- looking for fat resin yields in indoor environments.  It tastes a bit muted without a super noteable profile, it is smooth and velvety with a bit of an apple-pear-berry back note that won't overwhelm your palate if you're pairing it with food or wine.   Would be very nice with a dry cider.

Experience: 9/10
Its as fun to process into your favorite method of consumption as it is to consume- and lends itself to fun and gregarious sessions.  It is a medium-high THC offering, but it has a sly sativa vibe that will have you gabbing about dragon battles and incestuous royal affairs to people who probably don't want to hear it.

Medical Notes
:
I felt energized more than normal after testing it this week- but was also found to by yawning easily by the end of the night.  Bit higher than average dry mouth.   Hybrid to stock in the future for sure.

TLDR: 8.5 /10
Keats is another top notch offering from Broken Coast.   It will suit party-goers and netflix and chill-ers equally- leaving a lot of energy for sustained binge-ing of your favorite shows and some tactile physical vibes for afterwards.  Not the "terpiest" of strains, if you're looking for more flavor in the same vein- try Galiano or Ruxton- also by Broken Coast.
