Tweed Launches Free National Recycling

Salutations~

Packaging.  There is a LOT of it..

Due to Health Canada's Tight Regulations about cannabis packaging- mainly: Child proof, Tamper resistant, Odor-free and Opaque jars, bags and tins-  Many Canadians are wondering if there is any better solution to just tossing these into the trash- and cannabis LP Tweed had an Earth Day Announcement to share.

Partnering with recycling giant TerraCycle- Tweed has created recycling drop off points at ALL of their Canadian retail locations- as well as their partner business like Tokyo Smoke.  Now you can bring your old cannabis containers in for direct recycling by TerraCycle who will use them creating secondary market items like patio furniture and park benches.

Now- I know that many cities will have access to recycling programs as part of their infrastructure, but for some people- that might not be as accessible as others.  Tweed has made it possible for people to REGISTER with their program on-line and receive a FREE UPS shipping printout- to send it to one of their locations on their dime. And this extends to retailers willing to participate as well!

Until the supply and demand ratios have acclimatized such that 1 and 3.5 gram packages aren't filling every blue bin in the country- we'll have to do our best to reduce the amount that end up in the landfill with programs such as this.

...And pressure your local LP's to carry 15-30 gram packages if you're tired of 3 dollar jars raising the price on your 15 dollar grams.
