Pink Kush holds the title for Top High THC flower at the 2017 Canadian Cannabis Awards, as well as Top Hybrid in 2014, so I'm a little excited to try this batch out.  Pink Kush also has a place in my personal TOP 10 strains of all time, for its over the top potency and delightful terpene profile.

Opening inspection: 6.5/10
Small to medium sized buds ( .4-.8g ).  Buds are semi open in structure with some longer leaf stems that hadn't been trimmed.  If it was just one, I probably wouldn't mention it, but there are more than a few. Possibly too small to get the final manicure attention they deserved?  Weight was 5.15g so that's a plus.

Pink-ish pistils and a slightly lilac tone give this strain its name, but this jar doesn't showcase much in the way of exotic colors or frost laden leaves. Upon magnification however, it revealed deep layers of nearly microscopic pink / white crystalline heads. (the tastiest!)  There is a scintillating glisten emanating from the inside-out when I snap a bud in half, but the overall look is a bit underwhelming.

Aroma 7.5/10
This lot of Pink Kush had a slightly higher than average Terpene count at nearly 2% which is something I prioritize in my purchases whenever possible.   I may be biased about Pink Kush- as historically it has always delivered a uniquely floral, spicy and POTENT smoke that has enshrined it as one of my favorite strains of all time.

At less than 3 weeks from packaging date-this is the shortest "shelf time" of any strain I have reviewed to date.   Upon opening I picked up a little bit of a grassy off-gas kind of smell, but it disappeared as soon as it got some air transferring it to a glass container.

In the jar I get negligible hints of floral orange-blossom.  That is all.  And that was really stretching for anything.

Don't get excited- This was 2016.  A good year apparently~!
BUT!-- After grinding I had to double check that this was the same thing- It smelled just like I remembered it; Sweet. Floral. Perfume. Fresh red berries. Vanilla and cardamom.  Very enticing~!

Tasting Notes 9.25/10
Sweet and floral, (like really flowery) with a peppery spice backbone that comes on smooth and unassuming and then as you exhale, it rolls out like a morning fog. Exceptionally rich in a bowl, or rolled.   Vaporizing held fairly true to the smoke profile, with a light orange / menthol finish.

I am super satisfied with the end smoke of this, while I was a little underwhelmed from the look and jar aroma.  In a blind tasting I would know this as Pink Kush almost immediately.  I can't wait for concentrates of this strain to become available soon-

Experience 9/10
Pink Kush ain't messin' around.  Altho this lot may be a little lower THC%  than previous lots, it doesn't take more than a tiny dose to feel medicated.  In my experience- I get a lot of cerebral stimulation and regularly find myself getting into some weird and wacky antics after enjoying this herb. Perfect for lazers and bass music this festival season.

Medical Notes:  Start slow~! This can be a wild ride.   Doesn't do for my insomnia issues

TLDR
This lot of Pink Kush was really delicious, albeit a bit drab looking at first. In retrospect, I don't really care what it looked like- it delivered a jumbo level of effect and flavor I adore.  I want to say this is a great weekend strain- but this probably won't last 'til Saturday at this rate.
